2009 Breeding Season

Lambing will start at the end of January 2010 and will finish at the end of February.  Here you can find information on what ewes have been exposed to what rams and their expected lambing dates.  We use a marking paint on our rams, so we have a good idea of the exact date that the ewes are bred.  Please feel free to contact us if you are interested in lambs from any of these pairings.

The rams we used are:

Magic Moon Junior – He is our main ram and is tried and true.  He consistently throws his super soft fleece.  He is a laid back guy and a joy to own.

Kenleigh’s Wrangler – He produced better than I could have hoped for this last year.  His lamb’s have great horns, nice structure, and fabulous fleeces.  I am excited about his 2010 lamb crop.

web Julian 53009

Green Water Julian – I have long admired Julian and his lambs and when Karen at bide a wee asked if we were interested in him, we jumped at the chance.  I am very excited to see his lambs.

Kenleigh’s Reno – This is really my son’s ram and he has picked out a few ewes to breed to him.  He has some qualities that I like as well and have put a couple ewes with him too.

Kenleigh’s Reason - He is a striking 2-horn with a soft fleece.

We are breeding 31 ewes this year and it is a mixture of old, young, new, reliable, and the unknown – it should be exciting!

  1. Good Job Shannon. You have quite a line up going. Looks like you are going to very busy in January. I know I will be watching for lambs from several of your girls. What about Dusty Dear?

Hi Paisley, we hope you are doing better!!!

  2. Can’t wait to see what Junior and Darby have in 2009. I want first pick.

  3. Shannon,

I would like first refusal on lambs by Rae-Ann and Junior.

    Carl
